Acknowledgments
Thanks to my cousin Stuart Liroff, for his technical help and enthusiastic support and patient encouragement. Thanks go to David Cantor for reawakening my interest in tracing the family history and for getting me back into this hobby/obsession. On second thought, I'm not sure if I should thank him or curse him.
Thanks to Richard A Liroff for his enthusiastic support and communications. Also, thanks to Richard B. Liroff for his efforts 2 decades ago that resulted in a family tree that united the family into a single unit, not just a pair of independent branches.
A special thanks to a good friend, Jim Evans who took the time to read the website and challenge some of my earlier conclusions. He and I examined records again and together discovered previously overlooked valuable information that completely changed the story and helped improve our understanding of the relationships between Samuel and his two families.
And a final Thanks to Jerry & Seymour because they were the first half-cousins to reunite the family and lead by example. It is for them that I dedicate this body of work.
